The Filtration Society
was formed in London in 1964. It is a charitable, non-profit organisation established to advance and disseminate knowledge in the design and use of filtration and separation techniques in industry, commerce and other walks of life.
Membership of the Society is available at several grades including Individual and Student levels. In general, membership is open to interested individuals; most members work for manufacturers and users of its technologies, and for universities and research organisations. Corporate Association is separately available to companies and organisations.
The Society, through its governing
Council
and international links organises regular technical meetings that keep members up to date with advances in filtration and separation and their application, refreshing their knowledge of established technologies.
The Society provides quarterly issues of the international journal FILTRATION to its Members and Corporate Associates and also makes regular awards for excellence in the field of filtration and separation. The Society currently has members in more than 25 countries around the world.
