Sample testing
Are you unsure about the filtration characteristics of your solid-liquid suspension, or need to validate the filtration flux rate for equipment specification? Well, we can help. Here at Filtration Services Ltd we provide in-house and on-site filtration testing using a range of standard apparatus. For example, to simulate a rotary drum vacuum filter we utilise an inverted filter leaf and a representative 5 litre sample of the suspension. The data obtained form this type of test work can be used to optimise filter performance, establish filtration flux profiles, select filter media and used in equipment selection and scale-up. For continuous test we have laboratory and pilot scale equipment.
Laboratory scale rotary drum vacuum filter
The laboratory scale rotary drum vacuum filter [RDVF] can be bench mounted and ideal for small scale continuous tests. The laboratory scale RDVF available with either a scraper knife or precoat discharge system. The filter comes complete with a filtrate receiver, filtrate pump and vacuum pump. This unit is available for hire.
Pilot scale rotary drum vacuum filter
The pilot scale RDVFs are true industrial machines for installation directly into a process plant. The filters, one with a scraper knife discharge system and the other with a precoat knife discharge system, include ancillary skids containing the filtrate receiver, filtrate pump, vacuum pump and blower. These filters are ideal for larger test programmes under actual manufacturing conditions. These units are available for hire.
